COMMENTARY: The Marco Island market remains sluggish. Although, inventories remain relatively low and prices remain above last Q3’s averages. We actually saw sales volumes up 14% on single family homes while overall sales were down only 8.5%. We have seen a lot of investors moving into the market to pick up undervalued properties.
Call it the Election Effect! Buyers waiting out to see where the election goes and how it will affect the market and investors picking up the bargains. What happens if the election passes and, after the typical knee-jerk reaction of Wall Street life settles into line and the on hold buyers come out of the woodwork? Competition! Higher prices!
